The complex finally opened its doors on April 12, 1992 and was renamed “Disneyland Paris” in 1994. Despite a difficult start, on May 31, 1995, the famous “Space Mountain” attraction was inaugurated and a second park was announced in 1999.

In September 12, 2014, Disney announced plans for new Star Wars attractions at Disneyland Paris after the acquisition of LucasFilm.

For its 25th anniversary, renovations and investments are announced, such as the refurbishment of Space Mountain: Mission 2, the opening of Star Wars HyperSpace Mountain. And the modification of the scenery of Pirates of the Caribbean or the Star Tours: The attraction. Adventures Continue.

Today, Disneyland Paris is 29 years of history, more than 50 attractions and breathtaking shows. For a successful project that attracts more than ten million visitors every year!

  • Disney Village

Disneyland Paris is a complex bringing together two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.

Disneyland Park

The eldest member of the project, the main park of the complex is divided into 5 universes:

Main street USA

This first universe is located just after entering Disneyland Park. On the theme of modern America, the Chicago of the 1920s, this street gradually plunges you into the enchanting world of Disneyland Paris. In this “district” of a thriving American city, you will find hotels, shops and restaurants.

Discoveryland

On the right of Main Street USA is the first real universe of the theme park: Discoveryland, on the theme of the future seen by different visionaries.

Among the most famous attractions, we obviously find the Space Mountain, the Star Tours, or the Orbitron, based on the work of Leonardo da Vinci.

Fantasyland

According to Walt Disney’s vision, Fantasyland presents the various European tales and stories. The French region includes Sleeping Beauty Castle and Cinderella’s Inn. The German part is represented by the Snow White attraction, the Italian part by Pinocchio and the more dreamlike British part by the Alice in Wonderland attractions. Wonders and Peter Pan.

This part of the park is aimed particularly at the little ones and is home to most of the parades and shows. Find all the information here:

Frontierland

The last universe of Disneyland Park, it is devoted to the theme of the gold rush with this fictional mining town of Thunder Mesa. The thrill ride Big Thunder Mountain is the highlight, as well as the Phantom Manor.

Adventureland

As with Fantasyland, Aventureland evokes different parts of the globe, but in a more exotic way. The palace of Aladdin is straight out of the Arabian Nights, as its input. The Caribbean is in the spotlight, notably with the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

This is also where the famous “Indiana Jones and Temple of Peril” hit attraction is located.
